about

This is a rhymed translation of Psalm 92 from the Bible

lyrics

Psalm 92

It’s good to thank Hashem and sing
Praise to Your Name, Exalted King
Speak of Your kindness in daylight
And tell of Your faithfulness at night

On my harp will be ten strings
Playing for You while I sing
Your deeds, Hashem bring joy to me
At the work of your hands, I sing with glee

How great Your deeds are all around
Hashem Your thoughts are so profound
No simple man can know your plan
This no fool can understand

When like grass the wicked sprout
And all evildoers blossom out
Eternally You will destroy them
Always staying exalted Hashem

While Your foes will face the worst
And all evildoers shall be dispersed
You raised my pride like horns of a bull
With fine oil I’m more than full

My eyes saw my vigilant foes
Fall down, when those who all arose
Against me to do me harm appeared
I heard their destruction in my ears

The righteous flourish like a date palm
Grow tall like cedars of Lebanon
In the house of Hashem they will take root
In the courtyard of God they will bear fruit

Fresh and vigorous they will stay
Even when they’re old and gray
Declaring the fairness of Hashem
My Rock there is no wrong in him
